Plain Ol' Fudge

"This incredible dessert is anything but plain, you'll fell like a child again when this fudge melts in your mouth."

Ingredients

  • 4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (8-ounce) jar marshmallow cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups coarsely chopped walnuts
  • 1 (12-ounce) can evaporated milk
  • 4 1/2 cups sugar

Cooking instructions

Lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Place the chocolate chips, marshmallow cream, vanilla, butter, and walnuts in a large bowl. Mix well. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, place the evaporated milk and sugar.

On a low flame, let the milk mixture boil for about 6 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour this over the chocolate mixture and stir until well blended. Pour into the prepared pan. Refrigerate for 1 hour before cutting and serving.

•Makes about twenty-four 2-inch squares.
